The Windows Phone Emulator couldn't start because they hypervisor isn't running. The likely cause is that the hardware-assisted virtualization isn't turned on.

This error can appear despite having Hyper-V enabled in both BIOS and Windows Features. If it appears then just uninstall the Windows Phone 8 SDK and reinstall it. If you have this error, you are probably on Visual Studio 2013, so "Modify" Visual Studio 2013 and disable and re-enable the Windows Phone 8 SDK.
